The Story So Far

JUST A WEE BIT…………

It wasn’t immediately obvious that Colin and Orlagh would end up as a couple, in fact, quite the opposite.

Orlagh started working for Colin at BMS Cruiserath as the Safety Lead and along with her apparent

terrible taste in trainers, every time she had a question, she disrupted Colin trying to eat his lunch which

was never a warm welcome! Colin finally started to enjoy his meal disruptions and initially they became

great friends, sharing their passions with each other, diving and football, two very different pastimes but

nevertheless it seemed to work well. Colin watching endless shark videos and falling asleep and Orlagh

pretending to follow Glasgow Finest Team (Partick Thistle FC) in the freezing cold. At least the pies at the game were winners!

As soon as Colin had Orlagh wearing Adidas trainers there was love and respect that grew by the day,

along with the number of her trainers! It doesn’t matter if they were wine tasting in Tuscany or undertaking

shopping safaris on the Glasgow Golden Mile, the natural fit was just there.

With both Orlagh and Colin being fond of a little travel therapy, both professionally and personally, a lot of

their relationship has been spent happily in airports, ferries and driving down dodgy Italian roads while

Orlagh gives the wrong directions. From watching the orcas in freezing cold Norway to the Beautiful

Islands of the Maldives, the world has definitely been their oyster! However, the most important place in

their hearts are their home cities of Galway and Glasgow, in fact if you listen closely, Orlagh drops in the

odd Glaswegian slang every now and then.

On top of the love of stamping their passports, the other passion they share is music, frequenting venues,

big and small to enjoy the live music on offer and finding New Music Gems. Although, listening to a

musician proclaim her love for Rangers FC has sent sudden ringing in Colins ear :0). The race between

them still continues to find and send each other the newest ‘TUNE’ first.

At home it’s a quieter affair, cooking for each other, watching detective series, going to the gym and

sharing protein pots whilst planning the next adventure.

And here is our next adventure, getting ready for our big day in Cefalù, Sicily. If you are reading this

piece, then you have received our invitation, so please read the next few pages carefully for travel, venue

and wedding info.

We look forward to seeing you on the 25th September, to celebrate our wedding day and the yummy

Sicilian food and wine…
